Our Care Teams include doctors, nurses, therapists, and spiritual support. It is our aim to provide the best possible, personalised care 24 hours a day for the duration of someone’s stay.
The unit is staffed by a clinical team with specialised skills in dealing with the physical and emotional effects of life limiting illnesses including cancer, heart disease and frailty conditions.
Our patients come to us for respite, symptom control and for care at the end of life. We aim to enrich people’s quality of life by relieving symptoms such as breathlessness, pain and other distressing problems through the skills of our experienced and caring teams.

The Butterfly Hospice – a truly amazing community facility for Boston.
My mum …. passed away peacefully ….at the Butterfly Hospice after a 3 week stay. The level of care, compassion and respect she received was of the highest quality and we as a family are extremely grateful for everything that was provided for mum and her family.
Mum was recommended for a place at the Butterfly Hospice ….. after she was coming to the end of a gruelling and hard-fought battle with a rare and aggressive form of cancer…….
Once ‘Covid Lockdown’ was announced in March 2020, mum was already receiving fantastic care at the Butterfly Hospice and we are so grateful to the staff and management for agreeing to keep caring for mum even when she was the last patient in the building. Mum could have been ‘moved’ somewhere else but it is testament to the level of support and compassion towards the patient and family that they refused to allow mum to be moved anywhere else and continued the amazing services that mum so deserved in her final few days. If mum hadn’t ….. been offered a place ….. at the Butterfly Hospice ….. we certainly would not have had the many, fond and happy memories of mum in the Butterfly Hospice and we …..wouldn’t have met all the amazing people that either work or contribute to the daily life of the Butterfly Hospice, many of whom we now call friends.
The Butterfly Hospice is a facility for the community of Boston - such facilities bring communities together, to share the feelings, love and support for one another.
Since my visits to the Butterfly Hospice during the last year, I have left feeling totally humbled and inspired by this truly amazing place and its incredible team of staff.
