FUNDRAISING MANAGER

(TRUSTS & GRANTS)

Role 
We are looking to recruit a self-motivated and effective Fundraising Manager, who will raise income through a variety of fundraising opportunities. They will coordinate the fundraising function through implementing the Charity’s Income Generation Plan. Their main remit will include the writing and submission of high quality and compelling applications to charitable trusts and foundations. They will coordinate the In-Memory and Legacy marketing strategies to promote ‘in memory giving’ to the hospice. Responsible for budget setting and ensuring cost effectiveness in delivering on income strategy. 
The Fundraising Manager is a member of the Charity’s Senior Leadership Team. They will have line management responsibility for staff and volunteers working in the fundraising department. 
This post is suitable for an experienced manager or leader who has knowledge of the Charity sector.

Post Requirements
 

  •  Proven ability of writing persuasive, interesting and effective    cases for support. Bid-writing experience is advantageous. 

  •    Numerate with experience of recording and analysing   

        data. Secure administrative and IT skills. 
  •    Ability to work effectively in a target-led environment
  •    Ability to maintain records and produce clear written and 

        oral reports
  •    Proven experience working in fundraising or public         

        relations with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to

        deal with a diverse range of people
  •    Experience in leading a team to success 
  •    Ability to travel in/across the County is essential 
  •    Educated to GCSE standard, with secure Maths and English

        qualifications (as a minimum).

Salary

​​£20,000 per annum                                               

Hours of Work  

37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday)

(Occasional flexibility and adaptability in working hours as required)  

 

Annual Leave 

22 days per year, plus all public holidays
